- Listen to these songs and think about them. Make notes, perhaps. Think about the originator of the song. Why did he or she create the song? Think about each person in the song. What is the story of the song from his/her point of view? Think about the audience. For whom does the creator intend the song to inform or affect? What is the emotional map of the song? What is the central conflict that the song addresses? How do the particular details that the song's creator describes enhance or direct audience attention and experience, What qualities account for the persistence of the song in the public conciousness? How do the technical aspects of the song synchronize with the story? There are many possible questions that any of these songs could arouse. Feel free to explore them
